Meet Grace Wood
Welcome to my website, the home of Prestige Accents, my ESL accent reduction coaching business. I teach non-native speakers of Standard American English to communicate clearly, expressively, and conversationally. I make accent reduction engaging, interactive, and fun. My clients transform into confident speakers of clear English. They communicate effectively, without worrying about their accent.
I developed my expertise through decades of teaching a wide variety of students from around the world. I created my unique approach to accent reduction by drawing on my Master’s degree in Teaching ESL and specialized training in acting, improv, design, the creative process, and broadcasting.
Services
I offer one-on-one instruction online via Zoom. Once clients master the basics of my systematic approach to accent reduction, we customize the context for practicing new habits. Examples include:
Coaching women to develop a stronger yet natural sounding speaking voice
Developing skill in delivering engaging presentations
Developing conversational skills in making small talk, running meetings, negotiating, and giving feedback
Improving general ESL skills, such as grammar, vocabulary, and business writing
Discussing current events with an eye to understanding cross-cultural issues
Using music to refine pronunciation skills.
